Recently I've read a lot of journals talking about this topic: people who complain about the price of the adoptables. Is really annoying to read hateful comments in amazing adoptable designs. I don't want to give names but this happen to my dear resadoptables a few days ago. I can say, that she's my favourite adoptable maker, she likes the same themes as me, and her designs are mmo looking, like I enjoy doing xD, and she can easily mix that with a really attractive anime style.

She was able to sell and adoptable for 350$! And some people instead of feeling happy for her, made comments about "why do you spend so much in this worthless adoptable?". Well, I have to say that the person who started this, was really polite with the comments she/he wrote, so in part it was a constructive critic but, seriosly, it's offensive for the artist, and the most important thing, is offensive for the customer...

I have some theories about why people make this, and I can say there are 3 profiles or people:

1- Adoptable makers that envy the success of the artist
2 -People who hate adoptables, they're artist, but don't like the world of adoptables at all. They feel frustrated because they can't sell a commission for the same price as a good adoptable. In resume, they're jealous, but not in the same way as the number 1 people since they aren't adoptable makers. They think that they art is better, takes more time to do and in result, they deserve that more...
3- Stupid people that think art is worthless .___.
4- People that want the adoptable, but can't afford that bid (uncommon).

For me, 2 & 3 are the more hurtful people.

In first place, Artist have to eat!. This is our work. We need a good home, a daily meal, we need to pay bills... we deserve the same that the sciencist, teachers, lawyers, and that common jobs that the society think are respectable ._. GOD. We aren't discovering the vacunne against AIDS, but meh, selling a design for me is like selling a daughter or a son. I'm giving others my imagination, a big part of me. I work hard, like the lawyer, like the sciencist... If you think that being an artist is easy, why don't you try to make it your main job? what are you waiting for?

I read a lot of comments saying that people at Deviant ART use to underprice their artworks, I think it's true, and I do the same. I don't want to be arrogant or something, but I take like 4-20 hours with each adoptable, it depends the base I use. I mean, time isn't all, obviously if you take 10 hours to draw something that looks like a child with 3 years old made, well, then you need more practice, but I think my art isn't bad at all xD, still need to improve a lot, but I'm in the correct way. And I'm sure you're feeling like me at the moment. 've heard that in Fur Affinity people don't compain about the prices and pay a lot for art, that's a really good point xD.

But not for that I bother other artist. Instead of making that, observe why they have more success, advertise yourself in groups, improve your skills, try to learn about them!

Since I'm Spanish I must have a lot of mistakes with grammar and the use of prepositions and words, so forgive me OTL, hope you could understand at least what I was defendeding. Sorry for the large journal aswell ;A; .
